Echo is an Iranian brand making the daf — the large Persian frame drum at the heart of Sufi and Kurdish ceremonial music. A single skin over a wide round frame, ringed on the inside with rows of small metal rings that shimmer with every strike, the daf moves between deep, resonant bass and a bright, washing jingle.
