Sultan

Sultan is the oud line we carry as the Tapadum Sultan Collection — a range that covers both sides of the tradition, the Turkish oud and the Arabic oud, and is built as a ladder rather than a single model. It opens with the Smyrna, named for İzmir’s historic Aegean identity and made for first-time players, and rises to a professional tier for players who have outgrown a first oud.

This collection brings together the Sultan ouds currently in our catalogue, with solid cedar or spruce soundboards over mahogany, walnut, or wenge bowls. Each instrument is individually checked for tuning stability, soundboard response, action, and string spacing by our string instruments specialist Sertan Sarioglu before it ships from our Brisighella, Italy showroom.
