Description
The Oud Gig Bag – Padded Case Plus is an oud gig bag in grey fabric with thicker padding than our standard padded oud case. It fits every common oud — Turkish, Arabic, Iraqi, Syrian and electric — and suits players who carry their instrument often, by car, train or on foot, and want an extra margin of cushioning.
Thicker Padding, Same Universal Fit
The Plus shares the cut of our black High-Quality Padded Oud Case: a rounded lower section for the bowl and a narrower upper section with a bent tip for the pegbox. What sets it apart is the padding: the walls are thicker, giving the bowl and soundboard of the oud more protection against the knocks of regular travel.
Carrying and Storage
Two backpack straps with adjustable buckles let you carry the oud on your back with both hands free, and a side handle covers short distances. A zipped front pocket holds sheet music and small accessories such as a risha, spare strings or a tuner.

Which Oud Case to Choose
Both of our padded oud cases fit Turkish, Arabic, Iraqi, Syrian and electric ouds. The black standard case covers lessons, rehearsals and local performances; the grey Plus is for players who travel with their oud more often and want thicker walls. For flights, a padded case cannot resist heavy pressure on the bowl, and a hard case is the safer choice. Find instruments in our oud collection and more gear in our oud accessories.
Care
Brush off dust and wipe the fabric with a damp cloth. Let the case dry before you put the oud back in, and do not leave it in a hot car or in direct sun, which is hard on the glue joints of the instrument inside.
