Every instrument leaves our workshop checked and set up. If it turns out not to be the right one for you, you can send it back. This page explains your right of withdrawal, how refunds work, and your rights under the legal guarantee.

At a glance

• 15 days to change your mind, counted from the day you receive the instrument. No reason needed.
• Refund within 14 days of your withdrawal notice, including the standard delivery cost you paid. We may wait until the instrument is back with us or you send proof of shipping.
• Return shipping is paid by you, unless the instrument arrived damaged, defective or not as ordered. In that case we cover it.
• Legal guarantee of at least two years for any lack of conformity, separate from the 15-day return period.

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 15 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period will expire after 15 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods. If you ordered several instruments in one order and they are delivered separately, the period expires after 15 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last instrument.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Tapadum Music Store, Vicolo Galletti 2, Villa Vezzano, 48013 Brisighella (RA), Italy, +39 0546 614620, info@tapadum.com) of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or email). You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.

You can also exercise your right of withdrawal online at https://tapadum.com/my-account/withdraw-order/. If you use this online feature, we will send you an acknowledgement of receipt of the withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by email), including its content and the date and time of its submission, without undue delay.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.

You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us at Vicolo Galletti 2, Villa Vezzano, 48013 Brisighella (RA), Italy, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired.

You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Sending an instrument back

• You may unpack, examine and try the instrument as you would in a shop.
• Pack it as carefully as it was packed for you. The original box and padding are the safest choice; handpans, ouds and other fragile instruments travel best padded on every side.
• Use a tracked shipping service and keep the receipt. It is your proof of sending.
• If you write to us before shipping, we will gladly help with packing and the best carrier for your country.

Custom-made instruments

The right of withdrawal does not apply to instruments made to your specifications or clearly personalised for you (for example, custom orders from our workshop). The legal guarantee of conformity applies in full.

Damaged, defective or wrong item

If an instrument arrives damaged, does not work as it should, or is not what you ordered, write to info@tapadum.com as soon as possible with your order number and a few photos. In these cases we cover the return shipping, and the legal guarantee below applies.

Legal guarantee of conformity

Every instrument we sell is covered by the legal guarantee of conformity under EU law (in Italy, the Consumer Code, Legislative Decree 206/2005). We are liable for any lack of conformity that existed at delivery and becomes apparent within two years of delivery. In that case you are entitled to free repair or free replacement and, in some cases, to a price reduction or a full refund. To use the guarantee, write to us at info@tapadum.com as soon as you notice the issue, with your order number or another proof of purchase. The legal guarantee is separate from our 15-day right of withdrawal and is not limited by it.

We do not offer any additional commercial guarantee. Your rights under the legal guarantee of conformity apply by law in every case.
