Diba
Luthier
Tehran-based Iranian luthier building accessible Persian setars, each stamped with the Diba maker's seal (mohr).
Diba is an Iranian luthier based in Tehran, where he hand-builds setars and other Persian string instruments in his own workshop. Each instrument leaves the bench stamped with the Diba maker’s seal (mohr) — the traditional mark by which Persian makers sign their work.
Working in the Tehran tradition of setar making, Diba focuses on accessible, cleanly finished instruments suited to students and developing players. Tapadum curates his setars for musicians taking their first steps into Persian classical music, checking each one for setup and intonation before it ships from our Brisighella, Italy showroom.
