Mousavi
Mousavi is a Tehran-based maker of the Persian tombak, the goblet drum central to Iranian classical and folk music. With twenty-five years at the bench, he hand-shapes each drum from walnut in the traditional Iranian style, carving the one-piece shell and mounting the skin by hand.
This collection brings together the Mousavi tombaks currently in our catalogue — walnut goblet drums made for the fast, intricate finger technique the instrument is known for. Each one is checked for tone, skin response, and finish before it ships from our Brisighella, Italy showroom.
For more on the maker, see the Mousavi maker profile; to explore more, browse our Percussion collection. Worldwide shipping & 15-day return.
