On April 22, musician, teacher, and musical storyteller Sergio Pugnalin brought LauTarèa to Tapadum — a full-day workshop followed by a concert, both built around the traditional lutes of the Mediterranean.

From 10:00 to 18:00, the workshop introduced participants to the short-necked Arabic oud, the long-necked Balkan laoúto, the Anatolian saz, the Hellenic bouzouki and baglamas, and the small Italic mandolin — approached individually through their techniques and repertoire, and then comparatively, through tuning, posture, and the exchange of idioms between instruments. The program covered Balkan music and aksak rhythms, the Arabic and Ottoman maqam system, the Turkish repertoire, and the regional forms of Greek folk music (dromoi).

In the evening, Pugnalin performed LauTarèa in concert — a journey through the languages, styles, and stories of the Eastern Mediterranean, told through lute and voice.

Three people came for the concert, with almost thirty more following online.
