On June 14, 2024, Trio Karimi Frana Montanari returned to Tapadum Ethnic Music Store, continuing their exploration of Iranian Kurdish, North Indian, Afghan, and Anatolian modal music.
June 14, 2024 brought Trio Karimi Frana Montanari back to Tapadum Ethnic Music Store for another concert: Masih Karimi on tanbur and daf, Peppe Frana on oud and robab, Ciro Montanari on tabla and udu, continuing the syncretic language they’d been building since their debut — rooted in Iranian Kurdish, North Indian, Afghan, and Anatolian music.
Fourteen people came, with forty more following along online — and the following day, the trio’s individual members would each lead their own workshop at the store.
