Shirani
Shirani is an Isfahan workshop counted among Iran’s most renowned makers of the tombak (also called the zarb) — the goblet drum at the heart of Persian classical music. The workshop hand-builds its drums from walnut and mulberry, carving each shell and seating the skin by hand in the Isfahan tradition.
This collection brings together the Shirani tombaks currently in our catalogue, offered in graded tiers from student through to professional instruments — a range that lets a player match tonewood, finish, and tuning precision to their level. Each drum is checked for tone, skin response, and finish before it ships from our Brisighella, Italy showroom.
For more on the workshop, see the Shirani maker profile; to explore more, browse our Percussion collection. Worldwide shipping & 15-day return.
