Description
The Handpan Stand – Mahan V100 raises your handpan to a comfortable playing height and holds it securely, whether you are practising at home, recording in the studio, or performing on stage. Built by Mahan Music as a folding tripod, it turns any flat surface into a stable base for your instrument and folds away just as quickly when the session ends.
The frame is made from powder-coated steel with a matte black finish that resists scratches and stays discreet under stage lighting. At the top of the handpan stand, a four-arm cradle opens out in a wide X to support the curved underside of the handpan, spreading the instrument’s weight evenly across four contact points rather than a single pad. Soft tips on each arm sit against the shell without marking it, while the open design leaves the gu port underneath free to breathe so the handpan’s resonance is never muffled.
Setup is tool-free. The tripod legs of the handpan stand splay out and lock for a low, wide footprint that stays planted during energetic playing, and the telescopic centre column adjusts in seconds with a simple clamp to set a seated or standing height. When you are done, the whole stand folds flat into a slim profile that slides into a gig bag or the corner of a car boot — practical for players who move between rehearsals, sessions, and venues.

This handpan stand suits handpan players at every level — beginners who want a steady base for daily practice, teachers demonstrating technique, and performers who need the instrument presented at the right height on stage. It pairs naturally with the rest of our handpan collection and supports good playing posture over long sessions, keeping the instrument off the floor and within easy reach instead of balanced on your lap.
The four-arm cradle is shaped for the domed underside of a standard handpan and accommodates most common sizes. For transport and storage between sessions, a padded case such as our Handpan Case Tortoise complements the stand perfectly, while drummers building a wider setup can also see our Darbuka Stand in the same accessories range.
Care is minimal: wipe the steel with a dry or lightly damp cloth, keep the clamp and folding joints free of grit, and store the stand folded in a dry place. Treated this way, the powder-coated frame stays clean and rigid for years of regular use. Like every accessory we list, the Mahan V100 is checked at our Brisighella, Italy showroom before it ships. Worldwide shipping & 15-day return.
