High-Quality Padded Oud Case

Description

The High-Quality Padded Oud Case is a padded oud case in durable black fabric, cut to fit every common oud: Turkish, Arabic, Iraqi, Syrian and electric. It suits students and players who carry their oud to lessons, rehearsals and performances, with more than 30 mm of internal padding between the instrument and the outside world.

Padding and Universal Fit

The case follows the shape of the oud: a rounded lower section for the bowl and a narrower upper section with a bent tip for the pegbox. Inside, over 30 mm of padding cushions the bowl and soundboard against everyday knocks. The universal cut takes Turkish and Arabic ouds as well as Iraqi, Syrian and electric models from our oud collection.

Carrying and Storage

Two backpack straps let you carry the oud on your back with both hands free, and a side handle covers short distances. A zipped front pocket holds sheet music and small accessories such as a risha, spare strings or a tuner.

Black or Grey: Our Two Padded Oud Cases

Our Oud Gig Bag – Padded Case Plus has the same cut and carrying system in grey fabric, with thicker padding. This black case covers lessons, rehearsals and local performances; the Plus gives an extra margin for players who travel with their oud more often. For flights, a padded case cannot resist heavy pressure on the bowl, and a hard case is the safer choice. More cases, strings and picks are in our oud accessories.

Care

Brush off dust and wipe the fabric with a damp cloth. Let the case dry before you put the oud back in, and do not leave it in a hot car or in direct sun, which is hard on the glue joints of the instrument inside.
