Description
The Handpan Arsha Stainless Steel – 9 Notes D Kurd is where the Arsha story begins. Finished in bare, polished stainless steel — no colour, no coating, just the honest shine of the metal itself — it pairs the world’s most-loved handpan scale with a clean, classic look. The calm, meditative voice of the D Kurd scale rings out bright and clear, making this the most accessible way into the Arsha family.
Like every handpan, the Arsha is shaped from two domed steel shells joined at the rim and played with the fingers and the heels of the palms. The upper shell carries the low central doum and eight tone fields, while the lower shell holds the gu port that releases the bass. Built to be beginner-friendly, it lets newcomers find calming melodies from the very first day.
Pure, Polished Steel
This is the original Arsha — bare stainless steel with no titanium tint or applied colour, just the natural, mirror-bright silver of the metal. It is the most classic look in the range and the friendliest on price, which is why so many players choose it as their first handpan. Where the Blue, Rainbow and Green titanium finishes add character through colour, the stainless model keeps everything stripped back: clean, durable and timeless, letting the sound speak for itself.
Why the D Kurd Scale?
D Kurd (D minor) is the scale that brought most players to the handpan. Its nine notes are laid out so that they always harmonise — no wrong turns, just calm, flowing melody from the very first session. Forgiving for beginners yet deep enough to grow with, it is the natural choice for sound healing, meditation and everyday practice.

Care & Maintenance
Bare stainless steel is easy to live with. Wipe the surface with a soft, dry microfiber cloth after playing to lift fingerprints and keep the shine even, and avoid abrasive cloths, steel wool or harsh solvents. Stainless steel resists rust well, but in humid or coastal air a light film of handpan oil helps protect the surface. Store it in a padded case, away from direct sun and damp.
