Description

The Handpan Arsha Titanium – 9 Notes D Kurd in Blue wraps the world’s most-loved handpan scale in a deep, calm finish that mirrors the music itself. Its titanium surface settles into shades of ocean and midnight sky — an understated, elegant blue that matches the serene, meditative voice of the D Kurd scale. This is our beginner-friendly Arsha handpan for players who want a tranquil, refined look as much as a soothing sound.

The colour comes from a titanium finish over hand-tuned steel, which also helps protect the surface. Beneath it is a true 9-note D Kurd handpan: a clear, singing attack and a long, even sustain, with a low central doum and eight tone fields voiced for the soft, contemplative character that has made D Kurd the most popular handpan scale in the world.

Formed from two domed shells joined at the rim, a handpan is played with the fingers and the heels of the palms — the top shell carrying the doum and tone fields, the lower shell holding the gu port that releases the bass. The Arsha is designed to be beginner-friendly, so newcomers can find calming melodies from the very first day.

Calm in Colour

Deep blue is the colour of water, sky, and stillness — a natural match for an instrument built for meditation and sound healing. The Blue Arsha is quietly elegant rather than flashy: at home in a therapy room, a yoga studio, or a calm corner of the house, where its restrained finish lets the music lead. It is the choice for players who want their handpan to feel as peaceful as it sounds.

Why the D Kurd Scale?

D Kurd — D minor with a natural seventh — is the most forgiving handpan scale: calm, contemplative, with notes that always sit well together, so a beginner can improvise from day one. It is the scale of sound healing, yoga, and meditation. Want something more vivid? See the same instrument in our Rainbow titanium finish, or the classic Arsha Stainless. Care & Maintenance

To protect the titanium colour, wipe the surface gently with a soft, dry microfiber cloth after playing, and avoid abrasive cloths, steel wool, or harsh solvents that could mar the finish. In humid or coastal climates, apply a light handpan oil suited to finished surfaces sparingly. Keep it out of direct sun and intense heat, which can affect tuning, and store and travel with it in a padded case — a safety bag or hard cargo case is available.

Every Tapadum handpan is checked and tuned to 440 Hz before it ships. Free Shipping & 15-day return apply across the EU — reach out if you would like help choosing your finish.
