Description
The Handpan Arsha Titanium – 9 Notes D Kurd in Rainbow finish turns the world’s most-loved handpan scale into a visual centrepiece. Its colour-shifting titanium surface moves through violet, blue, and teal as the light changes — an aurora across steel — while the calm, meditative D Kurd scale keeps the sound warm and grounded. This is our beginner-friendly Arsha handpan in its most expressive colour, for players who want an instrument that is seen as much as heard.
The vivid spectrum comes from a titanium finish applied over hand-tuned steel, which also adds a layer of surface protection. Beneath the colour it is a true 9-note D Kurd handpan: a bright, singing attack and a long sustain, with a low central doum and eight tone fields voiced for the soft, contemplative character that makes D Kurd the most popular handpan scale in the world.
Formed from two domed shells joined at the rim, a handpan is played with the fingers and the heels of the palms — the top shell carrying the doum and tone fields, the lower shell holding the gu port that releases the bass. The Arsha is designed to be beginner-friendly, so newcomers can find melodies from the very first day.
A Statement in Colour
Where a plain steel handpan slips into the background, the Rainbow Arsha holds the eye — on stage, on camera, and in the room. Its iridescent titanium surface shifts with every angle, so no two photographs ever look quite the same. It is the natural pick for performers, content creators, and anyone who wants a striking, one-of-a-kind instrument that doubles as a piece to display.
Why the D Kurd Scale?
D Kurd — D minor with a natural seventh — is the most forgiving handpan scale: calm, contemplative, with notes that always sit well together, so a beginner can improvise from day one. It is the scale of sound healing, yoga, and meditation. Prefer a deep, serene look? See the same instrument in our Blue titanium finish, or the classic Arsha Stainless. Care & Maintenance
To protect the titanium colour, wipe the surface gently with a soft, dry microfiber cloth after playing, and avoid abrasive cloths, steel wool, or harsh solvents that could mar the finish. In humid or coastal climates, a light handpan oil suited to finished surfaces can be applied sparingly. Keep it out of direct sun and intense heat, which can affect tuning, and store and travel with it in a padded case — a safety bag or hard cargo case is available.
Every Tapadum handpan is checked and tuned to 440 Hz before it ships. Free Shipping & 15-day return apply across the EU — reach out if you would like help choosing your finish.
