Description

The Hard Case for Handpan – Cargo Case is a handpan flight case with a reinforced fiberglass shell and a locking system, made for players who fly with their instrument or check it in as luggage. It fits a standard-size handpan and combines a rigid shell, a soft lining and backpack straps in one case.

Reinforced Fiberglass Shell

Both halves of the shell are made of reinforced fiberglass with a matte black finish. Fiberglass is stiff and hard to dent, so pressure from stacked luggage or a knock in transit is spread across the shell instead of reaching the tone fields of the handpan. The case closes with a full-perimeter zip and a locking system, which keeps it shut through handling at airports.

Lining and Carrying

Inside, both halves are lined with a soft fabric that protects the finish of the instrument when it goes in and out of the case. For carrying, the case has two padded backpack straps fixed with metal studs, plus a top handle and a side handle in a leather-look finish.

Care

Wipe the shell with a damp cloth and avoid solvents on the finish. Let the lining dry fully before you close an instrument inside, and remove sand or grit that could scratch the handpan. If your instrument is larger than standard, send us its diameter and height before ordering and we will confirm the fit.
